Our Favorite Instagram Accounts

We spend a lot of time on Instagram. Some call it “work” but we call it pure joy! While exploring the endless creativity on our favorite social media platform, we found accounts that push the creative marker and really made us “Ooh and Aah”. We had to share.

These dreamy vibes had us in paradise.

You would have thought you were in Hawaii with @katgaskin’s coconut dreams. The Salty Pineapple’s instagram swoons with its instinctive pink sky hues. @megbradyhouse takes advantage of filters that truly highlight the rainbow skies.

These dreamy vibes take us elsewhere, but no need to take a full trip to Hawaii (although we won’t stop you) to get these dreamy vibes - just look up and take your shot. Beauty is truly all around!

Looking for that easy follow? Consider a balanced grid.

Similar to decorating your aesthetically pleasing living room - an easy breezy flow is key to a balanced grid. Use the structure of the grid to organize accordingly.

Have a busy post? Make the next one simple. @bluebottle executes this strategy by showing simple cups of coffee next to either busy building structures or food items they offer.

Do a quick scroll through when previewing your grid. It should have an effortless movement or consistent breaks. @thetoyshades and @personaljournalapp share the consistent breaks over rows of images of three.

These color themes had us staring for days as we scrolled through feeds.

Consider having a hint of a single color in each post to create the color theme effect or even using a single filter throughout. A great way to start is identifying whether you’re going for that fun pop glare or green outdoor theme.

@createcultivate takes charge with the shades of pink and orange for that trendy, bold and vibrant layout. While @socialreport and Sarah QL @sarah.la.lune kill the nature aesthetic with green, brown and blue earth tones.

This can be very appealing to the eye when doing the quick scroll but also easily done.

Piece the puzzle together with a mesmerizing grid design that connects all the dots.

By having each square hold a single piece of the bigger picture you can create a puzzling grid. We watched Joanne of @simplywhtedesign use the front face of videos to help complete her grid. Joanne was also able to have single squares appear clean and finished which allowed for an easier flow when followers are viewing content via their personal feed.

Company branding that shines a spotlight on culture.

Instagram is a great way to showcase the talent at your company. @acorns, an online financial advisor, features employee biographies and job openings. It’s a great way to get a good feel of the company’s culture. We also adore the balanced grid!

@mailchimp leverages the video component of Instagram to play ads and promote their own video series. While @starbucks shows off everything the company stands for, by having Naomi Smalls a well-known drag queen strut a Starbucks drink.

A seamless product placement can show brand personality.

Visit @bulletproof, and you’ll not only see cups of coffee but also the company’s mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle. Their inspiring quotes, informational articles and easy to follow recipes help tell their story.

We LOVE @sand_cloud! Not only does a large portion of their income go towards marine life protection, but their feed is fresh, clean and innovative.

COMMON DEER is a general store who sells local made products showcases items through a “slice of life” strategy. Whether it's the coat rack in the living room holding their new tote bags or candles in bathrooms - their product placement depicts their charming personality.

Show us a flavor we can see, we’re talking personal branding!

What makes an instagram unique and relatable? Personality. We can’t get over how @joythebaker brings about her love for cooking, plants and Drake. Joy’s angles of her delicious arrangements and “Drake Cakes” are the exact icing we would look for to decorate with.

Elizabeth Gray (@thegraytergood) “letters” out her feelings in her posts and offers tutorials to aspiring letter artists. The manicured fingers featured in each post and displays of her “feelings” make Elizabeth’s instagram one of a kind.

Don’t wanna feel like the only one? Check out Dianne Laurance’s (@dumpedwifesrevenge) personal story of how she got dumped for a younger woman. This is an exclusive story you won’t get quite anywhere else except Dianne’s instagram!
